Fire Sprinklers are designed and fabricated to save lives, last the life of the building, and if properly installed, maintained, and inspected, they will. A properly inspected fire sprinkler system dramatically increases its reliability. In addition to performing the required inspection and maintenance; we can extend the life of the system, improve its reliability and reduce the overall cost of maintenance. Inspection and maintenance of sprinklers are required on a monthly, quarterly, semiannual, annual, and five year basis. We will work hand in hand with you and design a program that will meet your needs. Some of our clients will perform their own monthly duties and contract us to handle the rest! Whether it’s a turn key program or a customer assist preference we have a cost effective solution for you.

NFPA 25 is the standard followed to properly inspect and maintain your fire sprinkler systems. This code is like an owners manual for your suppression equipment. It also interfaces with other components including fire alarm syste back flow preventors, fire pumps, compressors, stand pipes systems and more. Tri State will perform a thorough survery of your facility and determine the type and quantity of these systems and components and provide you an inspection frequency recommendation and quotation. Our goal is to assist you in protecting your property and occupants from fire. During our tests we will insure that all components and devices are in working condition. The Tri State technician will share with you a wealth of knowledge about your system and provide a plan that will give you the peace of mind that your system will meet the code and operate at the time of fire.

Our Technicians Will:

  • Inspect and determine if the system is in service and in satisfactory condition.
  • Identify conditions that could compromise the performance of the mechanical and electrical components of the system.
  • Inspect for adequate clearance, condition, and position of the sprinkler heads to allow for proper distribution and activation.
  • Inspect the sprinkler control valves for proper position, condition, accessibility, and appropriate signage.
  • Inspect and perform required water-flow tests for each system from main drain and inspectors test valve (weather permitting).
  • Visually inspect the fire department connection, caps, threads, clappers, check valves and drains.
  • Inspect and test the fire sprinkler system alarm components for satisfactory condition and operation.
  • Check spare head box for proper supply and wrench.
  • Inspect the general condition of visible and accessible sprinkler system piping, hangers, drain valves, gauges and related equipment.
  • Test the operation of sprinkler air compressors for proper activation and shut off, if applicable.
  • Test all low-pressure alarms, supervisory circuits and auxiliary functions for proper operation.
  • Review with the customer changes in building status and occupancy hazard classifications that may affect the performance and reliability of the fire sprinkler system.
  • Tag devices as required and perform all required record keeping.
  • Compile a complete report of the inspection, explaining any deficiencies and recommending corrective actions to be taken in accordance with local codes and fire standards.
  • Inform and explain that the inspection does not include a design evaluation on engineering analysis.
  • Accept liability to the extent of our negligence up to the contract amount of our annual inspection agreement.
